A big deal for action against climate change: CO2logic joins the South Pole group

Together, CO2logic and South Pole form Belgium’s largest climate action company with a global network
Zurich/Brussels, May 04, 2021: The Belgian climate action pioneer CO2logic today announced it is joining the South Pole group, the international Swiss-based leader in climate and environmental services. CO2logic clients will gain access to South Pole’s network of global services in a fast-moving sector, where international expertise is crucial. In return, South Pole clients will benefit from CO2logic experience in Belgium and France. South Pole and CO2logic are among the longest-standing climate action companies globally, both created around 15 years ago. The addition of CO2logic is aligned with South Pole’s strategy to increase its global presence for its clients, with local expertise and know-how.
Since 2007, CO2logic — a BCorp certified company — has pioneered a 4-step approach: calculate, reduce, offset GHG emissions, and communicate on credible climate action. Over almost 15 years, nearly a thousand companies from Belgium, France, The Netherlands and beyond have benefited from the expertise of their CO2 advisors to enhance their responsibility for the environment. Today, 50% of the BEL20 stock market index corporations work with the company. The CO2logic team, made up of over 30 engineers, works closely with partners to act on climate, at the equivalent of over 2% of Belgian CO2 emissions on an annual basis.
South Pole, a social enterprise recognised by the World Economic Forum's Schwab Foundation, has developed nearly 1,000 projects in over 50 countries to massively reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Projects range from sustainable agriculture, forest conservation, waste management, energy efficiency, to decentralized renewable energy. Across the world, South Pole enables thousands of leading companies, including Nestlé, L'Oréal, and Tetra Pak, to achieve net-zero emissions.

Both companies also develop emission reduction projects on the ground and will work together to scale this up, as demand for high-quality emission reductions grows.
