 CO2logic, Belgian leader in the voluntary carbon offsetting sector has been certified by Forum Ethibel to promote transparency and to prove clearly that they respect all their commitments, a first in the sector. To obtain this certification, CO2logic needed to pass an obligatory verification test.
This certification is a guarantee that CO2logic respects among others things 1) the additionality of the suggested projects 2) the seriousness of the offsetting projects 3) that each tonne of CO2 sold to its clients has indeed been invested in the projects 4) that the client does not take any risks on the validation of the offsetting projects etc. All these items have been controlled and validated by Forum Ethibel and prove that CO2logic is a strong and responsible company with a light administration structure in order to guarantee a maximum transfer from the funds collected to the CO2 reduction projects. CO2logic attaches a lot of importance to the credibility of their activities and was the first and only actor to propose a CO2 offsetting code in Belgium in order to protect the consumers from less serious offsetting companies. “We are very happy to be well-recognized by Forum Ethibel because it demonstrates our seriousness and the recognition of our values.” explains Antoine Geerinckx, co-founder of CO2logic.
