 For the second time this year, A.T. Kearney and its partners Solvay Business School Alumni Association, Trends, Trends Tendances, Kanal Z, Voka, BECI and UWE have organized the Best Innovator Award competition. The A.T. Kearney Best Innovator Award offers companies the opportunity to identify and compare themselves with the capabilities and practices of innovation leaders. It also recognizes those companies that excel in innovation management.
The competition is organized in 15 countries in Europe and NAFTA, and to date over 1,000 companies from various industries have participated in the Best Innovator Award across all geographies. On the basis of a detailed on-line survey and site visits evaluating participants against global best practices in innovation management, an independent Jury has selected the Belgian Best Innovator 2008. This year, the competition added something new – the Jury selected two Best Innovators: one for large companies (≥ 1,000 employees) and one for SME’s (< 1,000 employees). Best Innovator Award Belgium 2008 SME Finalist: CO2logic. CO2logic is an innovator in the field of offsetting CO2 emissions and related services (carbon footprinting, CO2 neutrality, CDM/JI, etc.). CO2logic pioneered carbon offsetting/compensating in the Benelux and helps companies reduce their impact on climate change. The company chose to abide to the highest offsetting standards and quickly gained a strong reputation, receiving the 2007 Young Entrepreneurs Award by BNP Paribas. C02logic was also ranked as the most recommended Belgian offsetting company and second most recommended European offsetting company in a study conducted by InterEnvironnement Wallonie/ULB in July of 2008. In a rapidly changing market environment, and in spite of the company’s small size, CO2logic’s founders are paying attention to putting the right innovation
