 CO2logic is co-author of an important study on the Integrity of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) for the European Commission. The Commission has just published the results of a study assessing the merits and shortcomings of the current Clean Development Mechanism, which allows companies and industrialised countries to offset greenhouse gas emissions by investing in emission reduction projects in developing countries. This study also explores options to further improve the mechanism.

UCB and Baxter, two global healthcare companies, will bundle their pharmaceutical supply chains in Eastern Europe together with TRI-VIZOR (CO2logic's partner for logistics), a spin-off company from the University of Antwerp. This accomplishes the world’s first example of orchestrated bundling or “carpooling for cargo”.  The recycled denim bag was developed by Levi Strauss & Co. (LS&Co.) in partnership with its Turkish suppliers ISKO (fabric) and Dinateks A.Ş. CO2logic participates in first Belgian CDM project in Africa

 The Belgian green electricity company Electrawinds has begun the construction of a wind turbine in the harbour of Coega, near Port Elizabeth. This marks first commercial wind project in South Africa as well as the start of the first phase of a large wind farm that, in time, will comprise 25 wind turbines. For Electrawinds, this will be the first operational project outside Europe. CO2logic is collaborating with Electrawinds for the validation and certification of this Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project in Africa so as to obtain the Carbon credits (CER) related to this project and to seek Gold Standard certification.

From the calculations it was clear that progress is being made in reducing their CO2 emissions.  History will remember the day that the Australian Government signed the Kyoto ratification.  The holding company Ertzberg and its subsidiaries became CO2 Neutral on the 1st of September. The company wanted to take things even further and show the example, they will voluntarily reduce and offset the CO2 emissions of its head office, shareholders, board members as well as all it’s employees. The CO2 emissions that they can not manage to reduce will be offset through CO2 reduction projects. Ertzberg carried out a full carbon audit with CO2logic. Based on this audit Ertzberg set out with Co2logic its CO2 reduction action plan. This action plan is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility charter with a focus on sustainability.
