States Environment Protection Agency (Australia) offsets with CO2logic

History will remember the day that the Australian Government signed the Kyoto ratification. In line with this action the States Environment Protection Authority decided to work with CO2logic to offset their emissions through our proposed CDM UNFCCC certified projects. This is a strong sign in regards to the Kyoto mechanism and its international credibility.

Green travel has a new name, Eurostar. Flying between the Brussels/London/Paris axis is history. Today Friends of the earth’s director Tony Juniper joined Richard Brown, Eurostar’s CEO in naming the first Paris-bound Eurostar train “Tread Lightly”. At 11.03am and 11.06 am the two first CO2 Neutral trains were leaving for Paris and Brussels, a world première.

Ertzberg becomes CO2 Neutral

The holding company Ertzberg and its subsidiaries became CO2 Neutral on the 1st of September. The company wanted to take things even further and show the example, they will voluntarily reduce and offset the CO2 emissions of its head office, shareholders, board members as well as all it’s employees. The CO2 emissions that they can not manage to reduce will be offset through CO2 reduction projects. Ertzberg carried out a full carbon audit with CO2logic. Based on this audit Ertzberg set out with Co2logic its CO2 reduction action plan. This action plan is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility charter with a focus on sustainability.

BlueSphere, an example to follow

CO2logic and BlueSphere have joined forces in a mission to reduce carbon emissions. BlueSphere proposes to its industrial clients a new innovative SAP data management system which will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions. BlueSphere wants to lead by example and has committed itself to reduce its own CO2 emissions, for example by replacing certain of its cars with hybrid vehicles. BlueSphere has quantified and taken conscience of its personal emissions thanks to CO2logic.
